Welcome to Midichord - Guitar Chord Technology
Are you looking to enhance your musical abilities? Have you ever considered the
possibilities of applying MIDI technology to produce a fantastic sound from your
stringed instrument? The midichord system will enable you to play chords with
one finger on your guitar, simply with the click of a foot pedal. We are also
developing applications for bass, and for orchestral string instruments that
will radically improve their range of abilities without making huge demands on
your playing technique.
Our dream is to allow every amateur guitarist to play music like their guitar
heroes. The midichord system adapts any guitar to enable you to seamlessly move
from conventional playing to midichord playing just by pressing a foot pedal.
The idea is to enable your guitar to play a full chord just by pressing one
finger onto one string. When you want to play normally, no problem. When you
want to play with midichord - press a foot pedal and a pre-programmed note will
play a chord. This gives you easy access to every chord in the book, making even
the most complicated music simple to play.
This product will appeal to every bedroom guitarist, but we have a dream that
our product will help people with restricted mobility in their hands to play any
chord they desire as complicated conventional chord shapes would be beyond their
ability. We have started with the
guitar because it is such a popular instrument, and is readily available for
minimal outlay. We will develop solutions for all other stringed instruments in
time, but if you like the sound of the midichord system, we need your help.
The midichord system is in development, and we need support from the Music
Industry Manufacturers to bring our dream to reality. We ask that you take some
time to read about our concept, and if you would like to add a comment, please
use our contact form to drop us a line. We are interested to hear criticism and
suggestions, as well as simple messages of support. Each one will be collated
and used to demonstrate the demand for this concept, and the potential that it
has to dramatically change music for everyone.
Thanks for taking time to read about our system - and we look forward to hearing
from you! |
