 Midichord
– Guitar Chords from one Guitar String!
The Midichord concept is an exciting idea that is designed to
help everyone play guitar brilliantly and simply. The idea is simple
– can you play a chord while only depressing one string onto the
fretboard? Here at Midichord, we think we have the solution.
Many people take up the guitar for fun, and some take the guitar to
the heights of musical ability. The one thing which is common to all
players is the delightful combination of melody and accompaniment
that can be achieved just by playing guitar. Most players manage the
basic chords and this gets them through a good repertoire, but what
about the limitations of the guitar player themselves? Our idea is
that you should be able to play any chord just by playing one note –
your play one note, and the guitar does the rest!
Our product will appeal to many people – here are some ideas of our
target consumers:
- Advanced musicians – Midichord will enable new sounds and
effects from the guitar
- Enthusiasts – with simple steps, more complex music can be
played by all
- People with restricted movement in their hands – whether by
accident or illness, if you can play one note, you can now play
the guitar!

We are working hard to develop this concept into a guitar playing
reality, and to this end we need some help. We are looking for
support from technicians, musicians and anyone with an interest in
making music more accessible to the masses. For the right
opportunity to collaborate, we will have some funds available,
