Midichord The Science of Playing Guitar
Midichord is in development with a view to meeting many needs
we think we can help millions of guitar players to improve their
playing, and to make brilliant music accessible to all.
The idea is simple play one note, and the guitar plays a chord
for you. A standard program will deliver a set of chord progressions
for each key, selectable by the musician. In addition, a
programmable module will enable the musician to develop chord
progressions to suit their own style and requirements. All this is
achieved with the use of a digital pick-up, a foot pedal, and a
control box that is rack mounted and based on PC architecture to run
the necessary software.

Advanced Musicians
There are some fantastic exponents of the guitar playing in the
world everything from classical to heavy metal, such is the
versatility of the guitar as an instrument. The current restriction
on the instrument is the ability of the fretboard hand to stretch
far enough to play the notes demanded by the player. With Midichord,
it will be possible to use our program to create amazing, complex
chords, opening up a new world of possibility for our beloved
guitar.
Beginners
The world is full of enthusiastic guitarists, learning to strum a
few chords or to pluck out a tune. With Midichord, these guitarists
could learn to play more advanced music much more quickly ideal
for enthusiasts who dont have the time to devote themselves to
lessons and hours of practice, and who just want to make beautiful
music.
People with restricted hand movements
The digital dexterity required to play guitar is high both hands
need good articulation and finger control if the instrument is to be
played well. This excludes many people who through illness,
accident, or disability cannot achieve the hand shapes necessary to
play the chords. Well, if you are in this group of people, Midichord
will help you all you need to do is play one note, and the guitar
will do the rest for you.
